CONTROL OF OPEN BURNING.
(a)
Open burning within the City is prohibited, except as follows:
1.
Outdoor fires for cooking, but only if the fire is contained in a device made of metal, concrete, brick, masonry or stone, specifically designed for the cooking of food by heat, steam or smoke.
2.
Outdoor fires for ceremonies, recreation or other lawful purposes, but only if wood alone is used and the fire is safely contained within a fire ring of not more than 16 square feet in area.
